iGSE-C$_{\mathrm{x}}$ – a New Normalized Steinmetz Model for Class II Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors

چکیده
Ferroelectric Class II ceramic capacitors allow for highly compact converter realizations, but are showing relatively high losses large-signal excitations which must be taken into account in the system dimensioning. Recent literature introduced iGSE-C Q , a Steinmetz model based on macroscopic capacitor Q-U hysteresis, allowing to accurately predict of X7R capacitors. However, is specific each single device, i.e., insufficient characterize devices same series and manufacturer, employing dielectric material with different voltage rating or nominal capacitance value. In this publication, basic physical properties we propose new model, xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">X relative D-E applicable all series. The loss modeling technique demonstrated TDK X7R, X7T, as well Knowles Syfer Finally, employed estimate three-phase inverter shown offer sufficient accuracy first power circuit design.

Parasitic Inductance of Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors
The parasitic inductance of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) is becoming more important in the decoupling of high speed digital systems. There exists conflicting data and statements on the parasitic inductance of the MLCC. This work shows the measurement techniques of the inductance parameters, focusing mainly on the fixturing needed to accurately measure the chips. The effects of various ...

Base-Metal Electrode-Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors: Past, Present and Future Perspectives
Multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) production and sales figures are the highest among fine-ceramic products developed in the past 30 years. The total worldwide production and sales reached 550 billion pieces and 6 billion dollars, respectively in 2000. In the course of progress, the development of base-metal electrode (BME) technology played an important role in expanding the application area....
